Yorkshire & A Humber is one of a regions of England. It covers virtually all of the traditional county of Yorkshire, along with a a portion of northern Lincolnshire that was previously inside Humberside.
These are one of them regions (along using a North West) that were expected to have a referendum just about a establishment of an elective regional assembly. A North East region of England recently rejected having an elective regional assembly around the referendum. It was originally known as Yorkshire & Humberside, & defined when North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Humberside. Since so, Humberside has been split higher, & a councils of West & South Yorkshire abolished, & York has seceded from either N Yorkshire. A older form of the title is however once in a while seen.
